It’s that time of year- time to get your shopping list together and make some thoughtful purchases for your loved ones. I have two upcoming shows that will provide great opportunities to find unique and special gifts perfect for the art lover on your list.
The Wellesley Marketplace
Sat. November 22nd from 10am-4pm, (come at 9am for an hour of priority shopping), Wellesley Middle School- 50 Kingsbury St.
Wellesley Square ArtWalk
Dec. 6th and 7th. Held in conjunction with the Wellesley Holiday Stroll, Wellesley artists will team up with local businesses and talented high school students to infuse art into many of the stores in Wellesley Square. Last year I was paired with the real estate offices of Benoit Mizner Simon, and this year I will be at a brand new gorgeous home decor store named Florijn. nest, Dedham, MA
Although my show at nest wrapped up at the end of October, I still have 3 small pieces that are there as part of their small works show held through the end of December. If you missed my show, here is another chance to see a few of my originals, as well as some work by many other artists. Remember, small works mean you get a unique piece at and affordable price!
Finally, if you are not local, feel free to check out my work online here and contact me directly to make a purchase. I promise to make the experience easy and enjoyable. And soon I will have e-commerce on my site!
So please come out and support local artists!!!
First off, thank you for all of your support surrounding the Wellesley Square ArtWalk. Many of you offered words of encouragement, positive feedback and a couple of you bought pieces. I had a steady stream of people come by for over 4 hours. It was so much fun to connect with the local community, and to get a sense of what you are responding to in my work. And a special shout out to the Wellesley real estate office of Benoit Mizner Simon, who graciously let me take over their space for the weekend!
I was happy to know that the joy that I feel when I am painting is radiating through. It is a fantastic feeling to be doing what I know I was born to do, and to be sharing it with others. I attempt to live an authentic life, which for me means being creative because it feeds my soul and makes me feel as though I am doing what I was put here on earth to do. Living authentically is not always about joy, but I find happiness much easier to cultivate when I am being true to myself.
I feel so blessed to have the support of a wonderful artist group, called the Wellesley Women Artisans. As can can see from the images above, it is very talented and diverse group of women. You can find more info about these great artists if you visit our blog.
If you missed Art Walk, there is still more to see. Two of my paintings are hanging in the window of the old Paper Source in Wellesley on the corner of Church and Abbott until December 21st. Or, of course, you could always make an appointment and come and visit me at my home studio!
Please come by to say hello and see many of my brand new original paintings at the Wellesley Square Art Walk. I will be with my work at the real estate offices of Benoit Mizner Simon, located at 54 Central Street in Wellesley, MA, from 12-6 this Sunday the 8th of December. Ten of my artist friends are also showing work at a variety of stores, please see the above poster and map for the event. It is in conjunction with the Holiday Stroll, which features Santa Claus, a scavenger hunt, and refreshments for all.
I also have one piece in the window of the old Paper Source Wellesley location on the corner of Abbott and Church, the rest get installed at Benoit Mizner Simon tomorrow morning!
