I was thrilled to host my friends this December at my home for our Wellesley Woman Artisans Holiday Art Exchange.  Nine of us participated in an art exchange- the only rules were that it had to be an original piece and that it had to be small in size.  Other than that- anything goes!

It was a special evening, as we each gave and received nine original pieces of artwork.  What better gift really, than one made from the heart with love and creativity?  I know that art is often perceived as a luxury item, but really great original artwork does not have to be expensive and it has the potential to elevate a home’s soul with personality and uniqueness.  I will expand upon this idea at another point, as there is much to be said…

We also sat down to chat, drink, snack on some goodies, and make rubber stamps.   Thanks to Abby for putting this project together for us!  It was a really fun and simple task, and reminded me of my undergrad days in printmaking class.
